Located 7 km west of Chania, the settlement of Stalos is a well-developed tourist area, now part of an extensive holiday complex along the northern coast of the Chania prefecture. This complex includes the seaside settlements of Platanias, Agia Marina, and Stalos, all of which share a continuous 8 km stretch of sandy beach.
Stalos is highly organized and has been awarded the Blue Flag for its excellent facilities and pristine, shallow, and clear waters. The beach is exposed to the north wind, which often creates ideal conditions for playing in the waves and enjoying various water sports, under the watchful eye of lifeguards.
To the northwest of the beach lies the islet of Agioi Theodori (locally known as “Theodorou”), providing visitors with a stunning view. The islet adds to the picturesque charm of the beach and serves as a scenic backdrop for beachgoers.
