Grammeno Beach is situated 4 km west of Paleochora, just before reaching the village of Kountoura. This area is characterized by a peninsula adorned with 150-year-old sea cedars. To the east of the peninsula lies Alonaki, also known as Votsalo, a beach stretching for half a kilometer with pebbles and crystal-clear waters. The beach offers shade from tamarisk trees and umbrellas, with the western side being more popular, while the eastern side is more tranquil.
On the western side of the peninsula, a bay with a sandy beach known as “Stou Houma” is formed. The surrounding area boasts taverns serving delicious food, a few rental rooms, and an organized campsite for camping enthusiasts.
Grammeno Beach is easily accessible via a paved road, making it a convenient destination for visitors. The combination of natural beauty, historical sea cedars, and excellent facilities makes Grammeno a perfect spot for a relaxing day by the sea.
