In a matter of years, the once obscure and isolated Stefanos Beach—commonly known as Seitan Limania—has become one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in Akrotiri. Despite its relatively challenging access and the fact that it is a small, undeveloped beach, the unparalleled beauty of the landscape draws hundreds of visitors daily during the summer months.
Nestled deep within a narrow cove on the northwest coast of Akrotiri, this small rocky beach resembles a fjord, with steep, towering rocky walls. This dramatic setting is a natural extension of the wild and rugged Diplohahalo Gorge, which empties into Stefanos Beach. To the west of this cove are two more with similar features, together forming an extraordinary geophysical ensemble with the evocative name Seitan Limania, or “Satan’s Harbours,” likely due to their wild and inaccessible nature by both land and sea.
Stefanos Beach itself is a marvel, featuring deep, crystal-clear blue waters and fine white pebbles. The beach’s raw natural beauty is its main attraction, offering a unique and stunning backdrop for visitors.
